In my spare time, I am a passionate offshore sailor (having a boat at the Baltic Sea), and I enjoy traveling. I do have a special affinity to South Africa and its nature (wildlife and vegetation), which in the meantime I consider to be "home", too. I love reading great novelists (Hesse, t'Hart, Kundera, Rushdie, Irving, Zafon...) and am interested in politics, culture, and science.
